We start heating engines for the V edition of the Barcelona Beer Challenge (BBC), and the best way to start was with a huge party: We love to celebrate and celebrate it with you. The last 14th of December, Beer Events organized a taptakeover at the Biercab (Bcn) where it was served some of the winning beers of the BBC19.
There was some breweries and we miss a lot the others, but it was a nice opportunity to taste the good quality of the winners. They joined to the party: La Pirata Brewing, Cervecera Península, Cervesa Sant Jordi, Vic brewery, Cerveza Sanfrutos, Wylie Brewery and FdL Beer Project
The principal aim of the event was that the general públic could acces and know deeply the project of one of the most oustanding contests in Europe. It seeks that the craft beer consumer can discover new options and they also had the honor of tasting award-winning beers in an internationally recognized competition. Tasting these beers, they can also find out some of the styles that are in competition (according to BJCP) and that all these new “tasters” can judge and enjoy discovering new options.
It was a great party kicking off for the new BBC, which will celebrate the tasting with 50 international judges on January 31st, February 1st and 2nd, 2020. Who will win this year? During the next Barcelona Beer Festival, on March 13th, 14th and March 15th we will discover it.
